We are happy to employ any drivers from any race, colour or religion, provided they speak English fluently.
Any successful candidate must meet certain critia - including basic English communication skills and correct manners.
We conduct a zero-toleronce of verbal or physical abuse - between drivers, staff and clients - regardless of reason.

We are a family run business. Originally set up in the late 1990's in North London, by local drivers, we have changed and developed over the last decade or so into an leading Airport and Cruise Port Private Hire Vehicle Transfer Specialist.
Originally we offered Estate Car services to Retailers Home Deliveries, quickly added to this was our Local Animal Collections Service (the original LAC). This was basically a Pets to Vets Service. Within a year or so, many clients were asking us to take them to the airport too, so LondonAirConnections was born. So successful was this airport service that in 1999 we decided to off-load the Estate Car Service, and the year after we gained two major corporate airport transfer accounts, so we also off-loaded the Local Animals Collections.
In 2006 we opened a new executive style minicab service in North London, thoughtfully called "Cockfosters Car Service". Our office for this was based on the platform concourse in Cockfosters Underground Station, and although a great location - it was noisy, due to a new London Underground Speaker system put in shortly after we opened. Thus this office was not as successful as we had hoped for LondonAirConnections - we simply couldn't hear our clients on the telephone!!! However we succeeded in making a difference in Minicab services in the area, by offering an improved service - other local offices had to raise their game!
In 2007 we opened a new operator call centre in Whetstone for LondonAirConnections.com, leaving Cockfosters Car Service in the Station at Cockfosters. We had found that keeping two separate companies running together at the same time too time-consuming, and found that one was detrimental to the running of the other... basically it was too much for our team to keep going. We had a choice... get management in for one and grow both quickly, or sell one and keep the original family aspect going with the other. We then sold the Cockfosters Cars venture on to a young team of drivers from North London. This office is still up and running today!
Once we sold Cockfosters Cars in 2008, we changed our ethos a little. We had quite a few Travel Agents in the USA and around the world using our services, and we had just started our En-route Tours, so we decided that we would slowly move into the Tourist Trade, rather than target the corporate market - although we don't turn down corporate clients down!
Sensing recession, we also stopped offering 'accounts' in late 2008. Although at first everyone thought we were crazy, "turning down work", but actually in the long run it turned out to be the best move we ever made... no debts, no chasing payments, and most clients happy to pay by credit card because the card company's protected their transfers! Best of all, for our drivers, it also meant... No Scrubs! Even our booking fee to cover the cost was taken well by our understanding clients - we like to think that they knew we were going to offer a great 'family-run' service!
In 2010, we were proved right about accounts, with a number of private hire firms have been forced to close due to bad debts - one went down being owed £1000's which in turn meant it owed it's drivers £100's! Our jobs are pre-paid, so we pay as soon as the job is done!
So, we have experience in most aspects of the trade, small and large minicab circuits, and home and office set-ups etc. But we no longer have any interest in any local circuits, nor have any plans for any in the future. SInce 2009, we have become a small network of individual licensed operator/drivers - we no longer offer work to individual drivers, the paperwork is just too much - particularly for drivers who do monthly insurances etc! It is easier just to Network and Tender work between Licensed Operators, each responsible for their own paperwork.
The KGC Group has a call centre in North London, but there are no amenities here.

DUTY DRIVERS:

We have highly experienced Duty Drivers for every shift, who look after our other drivers and clients when/if your office is closed.
We operate an emergency number for clients, to reach our Duty Drivers, should they encounter difficulties whilst they are traveling. Duty Drivers can help you if you have problems with clients, such as clients lost luggage, road delays, confirming details etc. Duty Drivers can also help if your journey is delayed or if a client is late for a pickup appointment etc. They are there to help smooth operations. A Duty Driver's decision is final, provided that any controller on duty agrees..

- We are happy for the right candidate to join our scheme, regardless of Colour, race or religion, but any candidate must speak fluent English.
- We welcome Lady Operator/drivers particularly and have a safe circuit policy for our Lady's.
- LondonAirConnections welcome Operator/Drivers who speak a second language. Particularly French, Spanish and Italian.
- Service background is an advantage to any candidate.
- We also act as an intermediary service for our Operator/Drivers overspill - meaning if we can reliably cover your excess jobs too!
WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU AS A SCHEME MEMBER ?

The KGC Group is committed to providing excellent services to it's clients and as such we emphasize that drivers must be acting to the highest standards at all times. Complaints from clients are rare, but upon a complaint being found in clients favour, compensation may be paid out, which maybe up to the value of the full fare. In this case the driver concerned will have the compensation value added to their rent for the following week.
- Operator/Drivers who we receive more than 2 complaints about within one six month period will be dismissed.
- Operator/Drivers must be smart - Shirt and Trousers, no jeans. Black Suit, White Shirt and Black shoes preferred. (Lady drivers must wear trousers not skirts!)
- Operator/Drivers must not smoke in their vehicles nor in the presence of clients.
- Operator/Drivers must check that they have the correct passengers, luggage etc. before commencement of any journey.
- Operator/Drivers may be required to give a password to clients before picking up clients.
- Operator/Drivers will drive within the speed limits, even if this means a late arrival for the passenger/s.
If a driver feels that he may not make a pickup allocated to him/her, he must alert the Duty Driver immediately.- Operator/Drivers must carry Pickup Boards and pens at all times.
- Operator/Drivers will not offer their allocated work out to any other operator or driver without permission of the Duty Driver.
- Operator/Drivers will agree to our tariffs and waiting charges.
- Operator/Drivers will own their own mobile telephone and have a hands free car kit fitted which can be used legally whilst vehicle is in motion.
Operator/Drivers mobile telephone must be in working order whilst on shift for us. No battery charged for your mobile - no work.OPERATOR/DRIVERS MUST NOT SOLICIT BUSINESS FROM ANY CUSTOMER FIRST INTRODUCED TO THEM BY OUR COMPANY.
We will dismiss any driver that does so.
We will also prosecute any driver that solicits business from our clients - this is treated as theft from the firm, and all of our other operator/drivers!

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS.

- We prefer MPV/Minivans, but also accept high standard Estate Cars.
- Vehicles must be Executive Style, Modern & Good Condition.
- Vehicles must be PCO Licensed at all times.
- All vehicles must have a M.O.T. every 6 months, unless under 1 year old.
- Vehicles must be insured correctly.
- Vehicles will be taxed correctly.
- Vehicles must be clean inside and out.
FULL TIME AIRPORT/ CRUISEPORT JOBS: (LondonAirConnections)
All Airport work is offered in a list format.The driver at top of the list is offered the job by text message and then he/she is then relegated to the bottom of the list, and all other drivers rise one place in the list.
This system is then repeated.
We do try to tie up jobs to get returns, but this is not always possible.
Because we only take advance bookings, most jobs are offered the day before pickup. This allows our drivers to plan their day etc.
Sometimes journeys are offered same day, but this is rare.
Driver pay commission on jobs completed only.
